nate_yuggoth It turns out Iranian folk music and black metal can be blended to perfection. Akvan sounds nothing like other great "Oriental" metal bands like Orphaned Land, Melechesh, or Nawather, and that's probably due to Akvan's clever use of mictrotonal passages. Traditional instruments mesh perfectly next to razor wire guitars and harsh vocals, giving Forgotten Glory a uniform feel. Favorite track: Tabaristan.
